Kodiak senior Levi Thomet came in second at the National Northwest Regional cross-country races at Eagle Island State Park in Eagle, Idaho, on Saturday, as first reported by the Alaska Dispatch News.

Thomet was almost 25 seconds off the winning pace set by Spokane’s Tanner Anderson, who won with a time of 15 minutes 54.6 seconds on a snowy five-kilometer course.

Kenai’s Allie Ostrander Ostrander, a senior from Kenai who was the top-ranked runner in the nation, finished less than four seconds behind Portland’s Ella Donaghu, who won in 18 minutes, 55.8 seconds.

Thomet and Ostrander are both three-time state cross-country champions.
