Two Kodiak residents were recently named to a pair of state boards by Governor Bill Walker, while a third was reappointed to another board.
Local masseuse Ron Gibbs was named to a second term on the State Board of Massage Therapists.
Meanwhile, former Kodiak Island Borough Assembly Mayor Jerome Selby was appointed to the Alaska Mental Health Trust Authority Board of Directors, and Angela Christiansen was named to the Board of Social Work Examiners.
The three were among 94 appointees the legislature approved in a joint floor session two weeks ago.
