Kodiak voters set new record; party affiliations have shifted since 2008

With one week to go before November 3rd’s general election, Kodiak has already set a record for early voting. As of Tuesday, Kodiak voters have cast nearly 1600 ballots, with 1,150 of those being mail-in ballots, up 40% from 2016. In 2016, 810 mail-in ballots were cast, with a total of 2400 ballots. Record mail-in voting in Kodiak

With less than two weeks to go until the 2020 General Election, Kodiak is on pace to send a record number of absentee mail-in ballots. For November’s election, the Alaska Department of Elections sent 2,300 ballots to Kodiak voters. As of Tuesday this week, Kodiak voters have already returned almost 750 ballots. Al Gross stopped in Kodiak Monday along the campaign trail for Dan Sullivan’s senate seat, after participating in the Kodiak Chamber of Commerce’s fisheries debate that Saturday before.
