After dispatching Colony in three games, Kodiak had to beat Palmer twice for the title. In the first match, they downed the Moose in four games, 25-21, 25-16, 21-25 and 25-22, then won the title with a 30-22 victory in the “if necessary tiebreaker” on Saturday.
Hannah Wandersee was named Player of Year in the NLC, with Summer McKechnie and Megan Pyles making the First-Team All-Stars, with Isabelle Riina and Carissa Cannon being named to the Second Team. The Coach of the Year was Kodiak’s Amy Willis.
