VA Clinic Expected to Open in March

Yesterday was Veteran’s Day, and while services for Vets have been offered locally for some time, soon they will be able to access their very own clinic. A spokeswoman from Kodiak Area Native Association said construction is underway for a new Veteran’s Affairs Clinic on the corner of Mill Bay and Benny Benson Road. She said KANA purchased the property specifically for the clinic and expects to have it completed sometime in March.
In the meantime, she emphasized that KANA does offer services for Vets, both Native and non-Native, so anyone interested should contact them to learn more about what is offered.
As for the new clinic, she said some staff will be transferred over from current KANA offices, but they will likely also undergo a new hiring process, too.
