The Kodiak Police Department investigation into a series of recent burglaries has resulted in charges against three local men. That’s according to a press release emailed from KPD at 5 p.m. Tuesday.

The names of the individuals do not become public information until released by the District Attorney’s Office, and the charges are currently being forwarded.

Police say a total of 35 charges, mostly felonies, resulted from an investigation into eight burglaries of local businesses that occurred over the last four months.

The press release says that admissions made by the suspects directly linked the burglaries to the procurement and distribution of controlled substances.

KPD patrol officers and detectives are continuing to follow leads in this case, as well as looking into other local thefts and burglaries.

Police are asking anyone with additional information contact the department 907-486-8000 and look for Detective Gambling.

Anonymous tips may be made to the Kodiak Crime Stoppers Hotline at 907-486-3113 or through the smartphone application “P3” by Anderson Software, LLC.
