Today (Wednesday) the Kodiak Emergency Operations Center reported sixteen (16) new cases of COVID 19 for the Kodiak Island Borough.
All cases in Kodiak are now classified as community spread.
One hundred ninety (190) cases are currently classified as active locally. There is one (1) active case currently hospitalized in Kodiak.
Two thousand two hundred eighty-eight (2288) cases, eighty-four (84) local hospitalizations, and seven (7) deaths are now officially associated with COVID 19 for the Kodiak Island Borough.
A mask mandate is in effect for public indoor activities.
Residents are encouraged to stay home if ill, even if you have mild symptoms. Keep your distance from others whenever possible, and wear masks where appropriate.
Vaccinations and COVID tests are available from the Kodiak Area Native Association at (907) 486-9800 and the Kodiak Community Health Center at 481-5000. Vaccinations are also available at the Safeway and Walmart pharmacies.
