Coming up this week, the Togiak sac roe herring fishery happened all of a sudden this week; NOAA Fisheries issues its report on the status of U.S. Fisheries, close encounters of the cetacean kind, and jig fishermen get some marketing help. We had help this week from KDLG’s Mike Mason in Dillingham.

Each year, usually in May, the Kodiak Senior Center hosts a modest art show. Paintings, quilts, fiber art and more are displayed on tables and on the walls in the commons area. The show runs through the end of the month at the senior center. Be sure to check it out if you enjoy finding good art in surprising places.
