Gubernatorial candidates Les Gara, a Democrat, and former governor and independent candidate visited Kodiak on Monday, Oct. 4 for this year’s fisheries debates, which are held each election year in Kodiak. Both candidates spent time deriding current Governor Mike Dunleavy’s policies – and outlining their visions for fisheries management.
