The Senate debate between Democrat Pat Chesbro and incumbent Sen. Lisa Murkowski, a Republican was held in Kodiak this week. Murkowski’s Republican challenger, Kelly Tshibaka, was not in attendance. Listen to the debate in its entirety here:

All four candidates running for Alaska’s lone U.S. House seat were in Kodiak for this year’s fisheries debates – including Republicans Sarah Palin and Nick Begich, and Rep. Mary Peltola. Peltola won the seat as a Democrat during this summer’s special election to replace the late congressman Don Young. Libertarian Chris Bye was also in Kodiak on the debate stage. …

Gubernatorial candidates Les Gara, a Democrat, and former governor and independent candidate visited Kodiak on Monday, Oct. 4 for this year’s fisheries debates, which are held each election year in Kodiak. Both candidates spent time deriding current Governor Mike Dunleavy’s policies – and outlining their visions for fisheries management.
