The Alaska State Troopers say 28-year-old Justen Nixon of Kodiak was shot at 3:18 a.m. Saturday morning while at a house party on Spruce Cape Road. Jay Barrett/KMXT At last night’s Kodiak Island Borough Assembly meeting, several contracts were approved with local non-profits that provide services to the borough. The contracts with the Kodiak Island Convention and Visitors Bureau, Kodiak Chamber of Commerce and Threshold Services were all approved unanimously.
